Nightlife in Branson is in full swing every night of the week.
Depending on the type of atmosphere you prefer, Branson has something for everyone. At Branson Landing, along the banks of Lake Taneycomo, is Garfield’s Restaurant and Pub. With an outdoor patio overlooking the lake, Garfield’s is the place to hang out. Garfield’s features a restaurant and bar. Live music is available Thursdays through Saturdays during the summer.
Also at Branson Landing is Ernie Biggs Piano Bar. After 7PM, Ernie’s is for the 21 and over crowd. Music is available nightly. On Sundays, be a part of the Dueling Piano Karaoke. There is also a Ladies Night on Fridays.
If an Irish atmosphere suits you, then go to Waxy O’Shea’s Irish Pub, also located at Branson Landing. Wednesdays is Open Mic night. Live bands are featured on Fridays and Saturdays. There are daily drink specials and Irish and American food items on the menu.
In downtown Branson, there are many other choices. The Bleu Olive Mediterranean Grille and Bar offers an extensive list of specialty drinks and desserts, in addition to its full service restaurant. On Friday and Saturday nights, Blues and Jazz music is played till 1AM.
The Outback Pub opened in 1998. Offering live entertainment seven days a week, the Outback Pub is the place to go. Bands play at both the upstairs outdoor deck as well as the downstairs lounge. A billiard table and trivia contests round out the good time.
Just as its name suggests, Time Out Sports Bar and Grille is all sports all the time. In addition, Tuesday is Karaoke night, and there is live dance music on Saturday. Time Out is the only smoke free bar in Branson.
If dancing is your priority, then The Midnight Rose is for you. It features a very large dance floor and live bands on Saturdays.

People, who love nature and hiking, will not be disappointed in Branson. The Lakeside Wilderness Area boasts many exciting trails for nature lovers to enjoy the beauty of the area. Most of these trails lead to the shores of Lake Taneycomo where hikers can rest and take in the scenery. Henning State Forest offers about 1,500 acres of hiking trails with breathtaking views of the countryside, as well.
Visitors may want to visit the town and browse some of the many lovely shops of Branson after spending an exciting day hiking or swimming. They may also choose to try out the delicious food in one of Branson’s many fabulous restaurants. Whatever visitors may choose to do in Branson, there is certain to be something for them to remember for many years to come.

What To Do When It Rains in Branson
There is plenty to do in that great vacation destination of Branson, Missouri. However, what do you do when it rains? Don’t worry. There is also plenty to do on a rainy day in Branson. It’s also still very beautiful in the Ozarks, even on a rainy day.
There are over 100 live shows in Branson, and you can always see one indoors, even when it rains. Comedy, magic, music from bluegrass, rock to country, and wonderful Bible stories are practically at your doorstep for everyone in the family.
Even if it’s raining outside, there is still swimming to be done. With three major indoor waterparks you can’t go wrong. The resorts of Grand Country, Welk and Castle Rock all have fantastic pools, waterslides and much, much more at their waterparks.
Museums are great fun on a gloomy, gray day, and Branson has it’s share. Jurassic creatures, wax celebrities and a storied ocean liner will hold everyone’s interest. You’ll even forget that it’s raining outside.
There are caves underneath those Ozark hills and a rain-filled day is a perfect time to go underground to see them. Even though a cave may sound like a dark, cold and gloomy place, it still holds a certain beauty of nature that is unique to above ground attractions.
No one can go on a vacation without planning to do lots of shopping and Branson has hundreds of outlet stores and boutique shops. Souvenirs, quilts, jewelry, clothes, shoes and many other things can be bought on a rainy day.

The Candlestick Inn Restaurant has won many awards and was named the Best Branson Restaurant in 2010. Located at 127 Taney St. (417) 334-3633, this top-quality steakhouse can be found at the Landing. As the perfect fine-dining restaurant for special occasions, romantic settings or families, it is well worth the price for quality cuisine, enchanting atmosphere, excellent service and an unforgettable view. Branson Missouri is the place to go in 2011 for some of the most must-see shows and entertainment. Families travel from all over the country to enjoy these venues and all of the fun that Branson has to offer.
Families will love “Noah The Musical” at Sight & Sound Theatre. This is one of the most popular shows in Branson. It is a live reenactment of Noah and the Ark from the Bible. It has a state-of-the-art set and audiences are mesmerized at the way the show is performed. The show changes throughout the year and there is a wonderful presentation called the “Miracle of Christmas.”
Another popular show in Branson in 2011 is Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede. This is a family favorite for many that travel to Branson. Families will find themselves going there each and every time they are in town. The Dixie Stampede is a dinner and show that lasts about 2 hours. There is a competition between the two sides of the theater which allows the audience to become involved. The dinner is delicious and everyone is greatly entertained.
Branson also offers the Acrobats of China featuring the New Shanghai Circus. This amazing shows has over 40 performers that bring the circus to life. The show lasts for about 2 hours and is fun for all ages.
There are many more shows in Branson that offered daily. Families and friends find this a wonderful place to take a vacation. There are numerous restaurants and shopping malls to enjoy during the times that are not spent at these amazing shows.
