Branson’s Clockers Cafe One can tell that the Clockers Cafe in downtown Branson Missouri is a cozy and welcoming place that serves the best homestyle food. The place is famous around the Ozarks for the “Clocker” sandwich, an opened face burger with the works. Meat loaf, mashed potatoes, soup, chicken fried steak, catfish fillets, pies and sandwiches are other staples. Sides are a dinner roll, a veggie and a potato. The tables are covered with green checked cloth, the chairs are sturdy Windsor style chairs, the booths are family ready, the walls are hung with old prints, the ceilings with model trains and airplanes. Clockers is not only family friendly, but family run. It’s owned and operated by the Brooks family, Tim, Cindy, their daughter Kelli, as well as Pat, another server. By the way, there’s also live blue grass music on the weekends. As for the dress code, it’s “Anything Goes.” Hours are 6 in the morning till 7 in the evening Monday through Saturday and 6 in the morning till two in the afternoon on Sunday, perfect hours for a place that happily serves breakfast, dessert (made fresh every day), dinner and lunch and whose price range is under nine bucks. The $2.99 breakfast special features two eggs, bacon and toast. Parking is on the street nearby and neither alcohol nor smoking are allowed. The whole ambiance says, “Bring the family!”

Prices range from $8. for a glass of a red or white California wine to $495. for a bottle of vintage French champagne.

Billy Bob’s is one of those local places that you hear about and one you just have to try! Branson is south of Springfield in the southwest corner of Missouri. In most cases someone traveling to Branson would probably be familiar with Billy Bob’s. It has that “old-timey” feel to it with the decor and the food that is served. They are most famous for their burgers. Customers who frequent the place rave about the burgers and how tasty they are. Malts and shakes are also a popular choice. The restaurant is actually attached to a gas station with parking not being an issue. The prices are very reasonable, cheap even, especially since most of the other restaurants in town are more expensive. The hours are also great; Monday thru Saturday 11:00 am to 8:00 pm and Sunday 11:00 am – 7:00 pm. Billy Bob’s Dairyland not only has great food, but a friendly atmosphere. Anyone traveling to Branson, Missouri should stop by Billy Bob’s. It will be worth the trip!
